There are no words that I can express to make the hurt go away but only reflect on all the memories that I have growing up with Father Bodnar and his family at St. George's Greek Catholic Church in Courtland, Ontario. Forever they will be treasured! He had the pillar of strength these past few years for they have been difficult but he always had that big smile and would always take the time to chat whether in good times or bad. He will truly be missed, may he rest in peace in our Lord's arms!

Alig vettétek észre repülését, bár volt vihar is, máskor meg sötét, éj permetezte rátok hűs ködét, hogy fölragyogjon reggelre a kék ég. Huszonöt éve, bizony, ennyi már, hogy a vizek felett mozdult a Lélek, áttört a felhőn egy merész sugár. Soha nem volt oly rebbenésnyi nyár, soha nem volt oly mámoros igézet. És akkor jött a kettős zuhatag, a páros szentség Isten tenyeréből, megaranyozta mind az utakat, élővé tett forrást és kutakat, s a messzi űrt, hová az ész nem ér föl. És aztán jött termékeny Kánaán, virággal habzó, dús kegyelmű évek, egy egy gyümölcs is ringott már a fán, és úgy látszott, hogy idejekorán, beteljesül az egykor tett igéret. Valóra vált, amit fogadtatok, mert lélek és test szeretetben égve, sugározza az égi harmatot, amit mennyei Atyánktól kapott. Dear Jutka and Family: Father Stephen has finally arrived at the place, which ALL of us are preparing to reach one day. He has helped many people, has consoled the crying and loved all who have approached him with any request. He was blessed with a great sense of humor and now he can enjoy the greatest source of joy and happiness directly. Naturally you feel pain at his departure, but if you consider his true happiness, you will feel rather to celebrate and to give thanks to Divine Providence for every day you could enjoy his presence on this earth planet. -- As a fellow priest, I remember only his kindness and helpfulness, especially in the first stages of my priestly service in introducing me to some "trade secrets" which every apprentice needs to know. Now he can help all of us as he is in the lap of Almighty Lord and participates in His all-might. If he could help you while in the physical body, now he is more powerful and certainly will not leave you helpless. Just turn to him with trust and faith like to any other saint. Megrendülve hallottuk a szomorú hírt, hogy Pista bácsi tegnap reggel elhunyt. Osztozunk Jutka néni fájdalmában és sokat gondolunk az egész családra. Imáinkkal kísérjük ezeket a nagyon nehéz napokat. István holnap a tíz órai mise után mondja a panachidát Pista bácsi lelki üdvéért. Fülöp püspök atya is megírta a papi levelező listán Pista bácsi halálának hírét és nagyon szépen megemlékezett Róla.
