Obituary of Phyllis Gloria Simmers

Simmers, Phyllis With loving thoughts of Phyllis Simmers (Couture) who passed away on April 18, 2014 after embracing life for 84 years. Phyllis was born on March 28, 1930 in Paincourt, Ontario. Daughter of Dolphis Couture (1979) and Marie Labadie (1932). Deeply loved by her late husband Harold (2004). She was comforted by her family when she found peacefulness. Much loved mother of five sons and one daughter, Bryan and his wife Rosemarie, Bill and Dar, Barrie, Terry, Kevin and his wife Maria, and Karen and her husband Don Vanhevel. Loving and proud grandma of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Mom is admired for her strength and determination in life. Friends will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday morning, April 24th from 9 -10:30 o'clock. A Funeral Mass, will follow on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
