Obituary of Domenico Mazza

MAZZA, Domenico - Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side, Domenico Mazza passed away at LHSC Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Pina for 47 years. Dear son of Francesca & the late Antonio Mazza. Very dear father of Tony (Rose), Dominic (Nancy), Dave (Amanda). Nonno will always be remembered by his grandchildren, Dominic & Lucas, Matteo & Maria, Isabella & Austin. Dear brother of Raffaele Mazza (Elisabetta). Remembered by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Pino Iellamo (Vera), Elisabetta Grasso (Natale), Maria Malacaria (Giuseppe), Nina Iellamo (Giovanbattista) in Curinga,Italy; and by his 13 nieces and nephews. Domenico was a proud barber for over 50 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose love and kindness for all of his family will never be forgotten. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue funeral home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday morning October 1st at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Friday evening at 8:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to LHSC Foundation or St. Mary's Church Restoration Fund.
