Obituary of Patrick John Valiquette

Valiquette, Patrick John At LHSC University Hospital on Monday, March 3, 2014 Patrick John (P.J.) Valiquette in his 92nd year. Dear husband of the late Margaret. Pat was the proud father of Jean Prout and her husband Jim of Forest, Jim Amaley and his wife Lana of Innisfill, Veronica Ramsey and her husband Jim of London, Philip Valiquette and his wife Judy of London, Paul Valiquette and his wife Barb of Lambton Shores, Pat Valiquette and his wife Sharon of Troy, New York, Peggy (deceased), Jack Valiquette and his wife Julie of Barrie, Cathy Brewe and her husband Randy of London, and Mike Valiquette and his wife Fiona of Stratford. Proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Born on March 29, 1922 in Arnprior, Ontario. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard and Bernard Valiquette and sisters Muriel Stanton and Alma Roach. Pat joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at the age of 18. Well known for his pitching ability and when playing for the visiting team in Aylmer in 1946 was recuited by Father White to play for the Aylmer CYO team. Pat and Margaret then moved to Aylmer and Pat obtained employment as a machinist at Imperial Leaf Tobacco Company where he worked for 32 years. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, at King Street, London on Thursday evening, March 6th from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London on Friday morning, March 7th at 10 o'clock. Interment in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Aylmer on Friday afternoon at 12:45 p.m. Many thanks to the workers of Westmount Gardens for their great care.
