Obituary of Michael Francis Swift

Swift, Mike (Swifty) Surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer that he fought with courage, humour and optimism on Thursday, July 28, 2011 Mike Swift in his 64th year. Cherished husband of nearly 40 years of Sharon (Thompson) Swift. Loving father of Tarah Gurski and father in law of Jeff. Proud grandpa of Emma and Evan. Dear brother of Ellen McLeish (Don) and Mary Clarkson (Bob). Cherished brother in law of Sharon's eight siblings. Uncle Mike and his humour will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Swifty will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his many friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Monday, August 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, on Tuesday, August 2nd at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. In honour of Mike's love of children donations to Make-a-Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
