DiGuglielmo, Antonio (Tony)
Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Longworth in his 88th
year. Beloved husband of 62 years to Giuseppina (Josephine). Loving
brother of Michele (Erminia) DiGuglielmo of London and Angelo (Rudy)
DiGuglielmo of Florida. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law
Maddalena and Domenico D’Alessandro and Luisa and Angelo Dorazio.
Loving brother-in-law of Anna and Aldo Piccoli and Rosa and her late
husband Vincenzo Ficca. Wonderful uncle and father figure to Joe
(Nicolina) Ficca, Tony (Carol) Ficca, Adelina (Jeff) Bozek, Franca (Jeff)
Smith, Maria (Dean) Zimmermann, Maria (Ermino) Dorazio, Clara (Emidio)
DiLullo, Tony (Carmela) D’Alessandro, Mario (Antoinetta) D’Alessandro and
Ermino Masciantonio. Predeceased by his niece Filomena Masciantonio.
Tony will also be missed by many great nieces, great nephews, godchildren,
friends and neighbours. Tony immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1954.
Tony and his wife Josephine opened their home to many friends and
relatives as they arrived to start their new life in Canada. Tony was a
very involved and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Visitors
will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at
King Street, on Wednesday, May 18th from 2-4 and 7-9 o’clock. Funeral
Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Thursday
morning, May 19th at 11 o’clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, St.
Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday evening at 8:15 o’clock. Donations
to the Parkinson Society would be appreciated.
