MILLS, Mary Frances (nee Verschelden) Passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Friday, April 8, 2011 at London's Dearness Home.Loving wife of the late Lyle Mills, dearest mother of Diane and Randy.Born in Belgium and brought to Canada as a baby, Mary grew up in Glencoe, Ontario, studied to be a nurse at St Joseph's Hospital, London, and worked at home to raise her children.With Lyle and his large family of siblings, she had many friends in the London and Glencoe area.A faithful parishioner at St Joseph's RC Church for many years, she was visited at the Dearness Home by members of St Justin's Parish. An avid bingo fan for many years, Mary had numerous friends among her fellow players.Visitation at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St (at King) on Tuesday, April 12 from 7 to 9pm, with Prayers at 8:30pm.Mass of Christian Burial will be said by Reverend Michael Bechard, pastor of Christ the King University Parish, on Wednesday, April 13 at 11am in The Chapel at Windermere on the Mount, 1486 Richmond Street and burial at St Peter's Cemetery, London.Diane and Randy wish to thank Dr. Sangster and his team for the wonderful care given to their mother at Dearness, Dr. Michael Fisman and the staff at the London Regional Mental Health Centre for their wonderful care and support and they are especially grateful to the marvellous nurses and staff at Walnut Court, Dearness Home (the former Nightingale and Picadilly wings and most recently Walnut Court) for their dedicated, professional and caring concern for Mary over many years.Memorial donations may be made to the Christ the King University Parish Music Ministry or the Don Wright Faculty of Music (attn: John Nolan).
