Obituary of Stephanus Petrus Perquin

Perquin, Stephanus (Steve) Petrus Steve passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, March 12th, 2011, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of 61 years to Willemina, (pre-deceased Feb 21st, 2011). Loving father and Opa of John and Joan Perquin (Allison, Kevin and Amy, Cory); Anne-Marie and Ken Mumford (Jason and Allison, and Karl); Dolores Perquin; Phin Perquin and Sabine Hofer (Heather and Louis, Ryan and Tara, Evan and Katie, Colleen and Josh); Mary-Ann and Gord Miller (Tyffani and Ryan, Krystine); Andy and Judy Perquin (Scott and Amanda); Rob and Mary-Lou Perquin (Mark and Thomas). Loving Great Grandfather of 10, Steve was born in The Hague, Netherlands on December 30th, 1922, and immigrated to Canada in February 1950. Steve is survived by his brother Antonious (Ton) and his wife Ria, his sister-in-law Ali Leen-Greib, and several nieces and nephews around the world. He is pre-deceased by his father Johannes in 1947, his mother Petronella in 1937, and also his sisters Petronella (Nel), Adriana (Aad), and Maria (Reit), and brothers Johannes (Jon) and Wouterus (Wout). Friends are invited to the John T. Donohue Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 511 Cheapside St. on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St Peter's Cemetery in a private service. The family wishes to thank the London Health Science Center, University Hospital nurses, doctors and the entire medical teams of the Neurology and Pathology departments.
