Obituary of Ruth Marie Rollings

ROLLINGS, Ruth Marie Macdonald - At London Health Sciences Center on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Dear wife of Bernard Joseph Rollings. Loved mother of her four children, Michele Krisa (Mark), Craig Rollings (Sherry), and Tracy and Kirk Rollings. Loving grandmother to Sydney and Declan Krisa, and Abby and Chase Rollings. Survivors also include her sisters, Margaret Rule (Harvey), Gloria Connelly (John) and Irene McArthur (Tom); mother-in-law, Jean Rollings; aunt, Gloria Wiens; brothers-in-law, Rick (Pam), Brian (Sue) and David (Joanne) Kennedy; sisters-in-law, Donna McCarthy (Bob) and Denise Haunn (Tim); and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Harry" and Mildred Marie Baxter Macdonald; father and mother-in-law, Sidney and Veronica Rollings; granddaughter, Anneka Jenna Rollings; and nephew, John Kevin Connelly. Ruth had a long career as a teacher with Metropolitan Separate School Board in Toronto before retiring and moving to London. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League at St. John the Evangelist Church in Weston and at St. John the Divine Parish in London, having served terms as President in both organizations. Above all, Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and special Wiens cousins. She loved the many years she spent at Purdy Lake with her family and cherished the summers spent with her nieces and nephews. Visitation at St. John the Divine Parish, 390 Base Line Rd W, London, Sunday February 9/14 from 130pm-330pm and 6pm-9pm, and Monday February 10/14 from 9am-1030am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Brydges.
