Obituary of Johannes Jozef Overmars

Overmars, Johannes Jozef (John) Peacefully at Marian Villa on Saturday December 18, 2010, John Overmars of London in his 87th year. Born in Raalte, Netherlands he was the son of the late Gerardus and Marie (Koenjer) Overmars. He immigrated to Canada in 1957. He had four brothers, Antoon (1989) (Feem) of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Joe (Tiny) of London, Ontario, Gerrit, Johan (Diny) both in Holland, and a sister Mien (Antoon 2010) of Holland. Also missed by his nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland. Friends and family will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday morning from 9 o'clock until 9:45. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Basilica, corner of Richmond Street and Dufferin Avenue, on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to St. Peter's Basilica Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
