Killeen, Patrick Charles
Peacefully and surrounded by his family Patrick Charles Killeen, died on Thursday, September 23rd at his home at the age of 83. Predeceased by Frances, his wife of 51 years (March 2008) and his son Robert (May 2008). Pat leaves his children Karen, Philip (Maureen), Sandie (Joseph) and Debbie (Peter). He will also be missed by his many relatives in Ireland. He was cherished by his grandchildren Michael, Erica, Emily, Jerry, Mitchell and Laura.
Pat was a colonel in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He spent his work life in sales at Lawson Business Forms. He was a faithful member and lay reader at Holy Rosary Church and St John the Divine Church.
His most enjoyable times were the friendships, competition and many, many rounds of golf shared with friends at the Highland Country Club. He will be missed by the Bogey Busters, the Poker Boys and especially Mike Silver.
We thank the Palliative Care Team of the VON especially PJ, Maureen, Telly and Jan who helped with dad's care and allowed us to keep him at home these last few months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rob Killeen Fund at the London Community Foundation.
Visitation will be held at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King on Sunday, September 26th from 2-4 and 7-9pm, prayers at 3:30. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West on Monday, September 27th at 11am. Interment to follow at St Peter's Cemetery.
