Obituary of Alberta May Cauz

Cauz, Alberta (nee Eldridge) On Monday September 13, 2010, with family at her side, sadly we announce the death of our mother. Alberta was born on June 16, 1910 to Martha Irene and Walter Kingston Eldridge, the last surviving of their seven children. She was predeceased by her husband Louis (Luciano, 1984). Alberta was the loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Lou (Deborah), Marie (John Meren), and Beverly (Fred Polci, deceased 2002). She was the cherished and fun-loving grandmother of her Cauz grandchildren, Carrie, Michele (Kevin), David (Roxane), Jason (Gina), Joshua (Krista), and Matthew; David and Laura Meren; and her Polci grandchildren, Victoria (Tom), Christopher (Sarah), Fred (Hedy) and Jennifer, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Remembered with love by Mary Lou Cauz. This spirited, gregarious lady lived her life with humour, generosity and compassion for others. With her great sociability, she was always ready with a smile, song and funny sayings. Throughout her long life Alberta was known for her love of children, and her skills in baking, sewing and knitting. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family acknowledges with gratitude, the care Alberta was given by the staff of Yellow Rose at Longworth Long Term Care Residence. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 5-8 o'clock. Funeral service at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Cremation to follow. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. If desired, in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to either the Children's Aid Society of London and Middlesex, 1680 Oxford Street E., N5Y 5R8, or the London Food Bank, 926 Leathorne St., N5Z 3M5, or a charity of your choice.
