Obituary of Shirley Ann Currie

CURRIE, Shirley Ann Passed away after a brave battle with cancer at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on August 21, 2010 surrounded by her family; Shirley Ann Currie in her 83rd year. Loving wife of the late James Michael Currie (1992). Devoted and loving mother of James Currie and his partner Melinda, Odette Croft and her husband Jim, Michelle Holmes and her husband Mike, William Currie and his wife Catherine and Daniel Currie and his wife Donna. Much loved nanny to James Currie III, Jennifer Whitty (Christopher), Jason Croft (Katie), Andrea Croft, Kelly Holmes, Bill Holmes, Elaine Currie and Grace Currie. Dear sister of L.L. 'Bud' Odette (Patricia), E.G. 'Ed' Odette (the late Gloria) and the late Betty Forristal (the late Ken). Sister-in-law to Catherine Player (Keith) and the late Jean (Petie) Conley (the late Daniel). Remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of C7 Oncology, Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo St. at King St. on Monday from 6-9 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 511 Cheapside St. on Tuesday morning August 24, 2010 at 10 o'clock. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Monday evening at 8:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program.
