Obituary of Anita Wilhelmina Meertens

Meertens, Anita She died peacefully at her home on Friday, December 12th, 2008 in her 77th year. Loving and proud mother of Ron and his wife Patty, Elaine and her husband Dr. Peter Cox and Sharon and her husband Dr. Nigel Black. Cherished and devoted Oma of Jocelyn, Bryce, Gemma, Sophie, Jacqueline, Katie and Willie. Sister of Ted and Theresa Hendricks, Hein and Hanny Hendricks, Fer and Finie Hendricks, sister-in-law of Andre Meertens. Predeceased by her sister Julie and brother Edward. Anita will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Anita's optimism, sense of humour and passion for caring touched the lives of all who knew her. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 777 Valetta St. on Wednesday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Reception will follow with details provided at the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
