Obituary of Eva Cabillan Penaranda

PENARANDA, Eve C. Eve C. Penaranda, 70 years of age, resident of London, Ontario and the Philippines, retired senior medical technologist of St. Joseph's Hospital, London, joined her creator on October 23, 2008 at Parkwood Hospital, her closest friend, Tess Oliveros stood by her up to the end. She passed away peacefully surrounded by Tess, Melly, Father Callistus St. Louis, and members of the Filipino Legion of Mary. Eve is survived by an only sister Maria Luz, uncles, aunts,cousins, nephews and nieces in the Philippines. In her 45 years here she was surrounded by numerous friends and relatives who came to know and love her. She was also loved and cherished my Mario and Daisy Oliveros and their children Jun, Mike and Marissa; Gel and Amy Cruz and children Amgelene, Rosemary and Cathrine; Fernando and Carmen Yarza and their children Jay, Mark and Gina, all of the United States. She will be greatly missed by Minda Cortes and children Victor, Marciel, Michelle and Jason, Theresa and Albert, all of the Philippines. Active in her spiritual life, she was a member of the Legion of Mary, member of the C.W.L., and a Benefactor of the Rogationist Missionaries. She will surely be missed by her fellow members. Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, (Dufferin at Richmond) on Tuesday morning October 28, 2008 from 9 o'clock until the start of the Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock.
