Obituary of Jean L. Lombardo

Lombardo Peacefully at Mount Hope - St. Joseph's Hospital, London on Friday, May 16, 2008 Jean Lombardo in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Hubert Lombardo (2006). Survived by her sister Shirley (Peggy) Fraumeni. Loving aunt, great aunt, great, great aunt and great great great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Gertrude Norton, her brothers Leslie and Stanley and her sister Elsie Thorpe. Jean was a devoted, dedicated teacher for 40 years. First teaching at a rural school near Thamesville, in Ballymote, North London and the Thames Valley District School Board at Chelsey Ave Public School in London. Jean and Hubert loved their cottage and friends in Orchard Beach, Port Stanley where they spent many summers, and their daily trips to the Covent Garden Market to greet their freinds. The family will receive friends at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday, May 19th 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Wharncliffe Rd, North on Tuesday May 20th, 2008 at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Memorial donations to the London Public Library (Children's Library) 251 Dundas St, or to the Alzheimers Society, Suite 100, 555 Southdale Road, East.
