Obituary of Eileen Mary Baker

Baker Eileen Mary Theresa passed away peacefully at L.H.S.C. Victoria Hospital on Monday, January 28, 2008 in her 84th year with her four daughters by her side. Beloved wife of the late Ben Baker (1986). Loving mom of Linda, Barb (Eric) Frostad, Mary (Dale) Munro and Patty (Dave) Beverley. Predeceased by her daughters Carol Anne (1950) and Lorraine (1983). Nana will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Ryan, Tara and Jon-Erik Frostad and Daryl and Kevin Munro. Dear sister of Joe Mercer and his wife Marilyn of Bobcageon, ON. Eileen came to Canada as a war bride in 1945. She was a loving, caring and giving person to family and friends and her home was open to all. She was truly gifted with many talents which included a flare for knitting, cooking, baking, decorating, gardening and hosting parties. She was also an avid shopper and Blue Jays fan. We will miss her sense of humour and zest for life. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, on Thursday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
