Obituary of Winifred Gore

Gore, Winifred C. (nee Turner) R.N. At North York General Hospital Seniors' Health Centre, Toronto, Ontario, on January 25, 2008 in her102nd year. Predeceased by her husband John P. Gore,(former Managing Editor of the London Free Press) in 1961, her daughter Jane Norton in 1970, her son David Gore in 1999 and her sister Mary Turner in 1984. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Michele Moffett (Toronto) and Carmen Waldegger (Ottawa), her sons-in-law Donald Moffett and Stanley Waldegger and daughter-in-law Barbara Gore (Dartmouth, N.S.) and Larry and Carol Norton. Survived by her grandchildren, Christine and her husband Hank Gignac, Lisa and her husband Andrew Pogany, Erin Waldegger, Michael Waldegger, Andrea Gore and Matthew Gore.Her great-grandchildren, Grant, Jack, and Madeline Gignac, Dakota and Samuel Gronbeck-Jones, and Adam Pogany.Wynne was born in London, Ontario, married and raised her four children in London . She moved to Toronto in 1996 and in 2001 moved to the Seniors' Health Centre. Many thanks to the loving, supportive and professional staff at S.H.C. where Mom resided the past six years. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Tuesday morning January 29 from 9:00 - 9:45 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue on Tuesday at 10:00 o'clock. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. Forever Remembered. Forever Loved.
