Obituary of William Robert Ferguson
FERGUSON
Suddenly at home, on Tuesday September 18, 2007, Irish (William Robert) Ferguson at age 81. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Tina (Christina). Loving father of Patti Prentice, Lori Ferguson, Kristi Ferguson (David Wallace) and Rob Ferguson. Doting grandfather to Andrea, Michael, Alex and Natalie. He will also be sadly missed by his faithful companion "Jubey". He is also survived by his cousins Maureen Libby and Cossette Randanzo and sister-in-law Betty Miller (Eddie) and brother-in-law Hank Mitchell (Winnie). Irish was an avid skier, sailor, squash player and thoroughly enjoyed a verity of sports throughout his life. He had a great sense of humour and always enjoyed a good laugh with friends and family. Irish participated in a number of community organizations including Chamber of Commerce, the Electrical Contractors Association, the Apprenticeship Board, The London Squash Club and acted for many years as the president of the London Ski Club. He was an electrician for over 50 years and was the proud owner of Ferguson Electric. A Memorial visitation will be held at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Thursday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. There will be an opportunity to celebrate his life and enjoy a drink on Irish at the Grosvenor Club on Saturday September 22, 2007 from 12:00 - 2:00 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation..
