Obituary of Wade Owen Ward

Died peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2007 at Middlesex Terrace Nursing Home, Delaware, at the age of 83 years. Born January 21, 1924 to the late Fred and Marie Ward. Loving husband of Margaret (nee MacMillan) for 61 years. Dear and beloved father of Susan (David) Leslie, Cathy (Leonard) Hautanen, Linda (Gary) Doerkson, Fred (Janis) Ward, Mary (Tom) Schweiger. Predeceased by his son Ian Ward (2000). Proud, loving grandfather of Daniel (Janey) and Roger (Carolyn) Leslie, Lindsay, Arthur and Jennifer Hautanen, Christopher and Kelly Spencer, Ashli, Amber and Luke Doerkson, Chelsea and Brad Ward, Nicole Schweiger, and Joshua and Jacob Ward. Great grandfather of Alexandra and Victoria Leslie. Dear father-in-law of Sue Ward. Survived by his loving and devoted brother Bob (Joan) Ward and sister-in-law Orma Melvin. Uncle Bud is also survived by his three nieces and four nephews. Bud will be sadly missed by his caring friend Mike Woodhall. A kind, generous man with a determined spirit. The family would like to thank everyone at Middlesex Terrace for their care and compassion over the past few months. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday morning, August 20, 2007 from 11 o'clock until the time of Funeral Service at 12 noon. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London.
