Sister Adelaide McAuliffe At Ignatia Hall, Mount St. Joseph, London on Saturday, July 15, 2006, Sister Adelaide McAuliffe (Margaret Thelma) of the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London, in her 94th year. Predeceased by her parents James McAuliffe and Adelaide Halford, sister Gertrude (Plein) and brothers Patrick, Paul and James. Sister Adelaide taught elementary school in London, Kinkora, Sarnia, Windsor, Kingsville and Langton. She lived for many years at Holy Rosary Convent in Windsor and in her later years at Ignatia Hall in London where her warm presence was much appreciated. She had a deep love of people and was always interested in the events of their lives. She cherished her close-knit family and her community and delighted to hear the storiesof her many cousins, nieces and nephews and the generations after. Her strong Irish faith that was rooted in the Maidstone community guided her life. She had both insight and compassion in her dealings with people. Resting at Mount St. Joseph Motherhouse, 1486 Richmond Street, North, London on Sunday, July 16, 2006 from 2-4 o'clock. Vigil Service will be held at Mount St. Joseph on Sunday evening at 7 o'clock. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Chapel, Mount St. Joseph Motherhouse on Monday morning, July 17, 2006 at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery ( John T. Donohue Funeral Home ).
