Obituary of Herbert Angus Simons

Please insert the R.C.R. crest Simons Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 Herbert (Herb) Angus Simons in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Kay Simons (McIlmurray). Loving and proud father of Colin (Andrea Goddard) and Brian (Andrea Walker). He will be sadly missed by his mother in law Kathleen McIlmurray, sisters in law and brothers in law Pauline and John Shore, Ellen and John Brennan, Kevin and Ronna McIlmurray. Loving uncle of Penney, Ian, Megan, Scott, Stephanie, Doug, Patrick, Sean, Lindsay and Shanna and great uncle of Mikayla, Liam and Hunter. Dear friend of Heather Goddard. Herb served with the Canadian Armed Forces and as a U.N. peacekeeper for 26 years with the R.C.R. stationed in London, Germany, Cyprus and Halifax. Herb's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit, L.H.S.C. for their professionalism and warm care. Herb's wonderful sense of humour and beautiful smile will be sadly missed. He loved life. Visitors will be received John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
