After a valiant struggle with Multiple Myeloma Gordon George Patterson is at rest. He died peacefully at LHSC surrounded by loved ones on January 28th, 2005. Gordon is survived by his beloved wife Mary Jo (De Courcy) who was by his side throughout his illness, their son Cameron Joseph, his daughters Karen Watson (Peter)and their son Cooper and Colleen Hansen (Kelly), and their daughters Charlotte, Alison and Caroline. Also survived by his sister Norma. Gord will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a man who died as he lived with never ending optimism, humour and dignity. He was a man who embraced life and met challenges head on. Never a person that he met that did not become a friend - his was truly a compassionate heart that saw the good in everyone he met. His family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at LHSC Level 7, Tower 2 for their truly compassionate care. There was no task too small or too large that they were not willing to do to make Gord comfortable. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Saturday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Sunday afternoon from 2-5 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. George's Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma, c/o Canadian Cancer Society, 123 St George Street, London, Ontario N6A 3A1
