Obituary of Mary Obbema

Obbema (Leal) Peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home on Tuesday December 7, 2004 Mary (nee Hurrell) dearly loved wife of the late George Leal (1958) and the late Garrett Obbema (1986) in her 100th year. Loving mother of Frank Leal (Carm), James Leal (Helen), Ken Leal (Shirley), John Leal (Joyce), the late Daniel Leal (1969)(Ardis Nelson), Betty Anderson (Jim deceased, 2002), Irene Weekes (Jack), Mary Smith (Murray, deceased 1994), Pat Long (Currie), and Andy Obbema (Cindy). She will be missed by her 24 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great granchildren. Mary is the last surviving member of 10 of the Hurrell family of Scotland. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1057 Oxford Street E., on Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
