"Well done my good and faithful servant"
Our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer on October 31, 2004 at Grand Wood Park Retirement Home, London, Ontario. Born in Portabella Scotland September 13, 1915 the daughter of the late George and Mary (Rankin) Swan. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Eugene Niosi (1993) and her sister Shelia Bayne (1989). She is survived by sister Llewellyn Weston and her husband Walter, London, ON; sisters-in-law Marie (Niosi) Taylor and her husband Dixon, Toronto, ON and Petrina Scaicchitano, Stony Brook, NY and several nieces and nephews. Isabel was happiest when surrounded by her family and cherished time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be dearly missed by her daughters Susan (Goldie) John; Lynda (Swift) John; Karen (Srigley) David; grandchildren Jason and Lisa; Ryan, Erin, Tracey, Jamie and Jessica and great grandchildren Jacob and Lucas. A special thanks to her neighbours for their support over the years. Honour, justice and tolerance were her guiding principals. The memory of her spirit and determination will be an inspiration to all of us fortunate to know her. We will miss her wonderful sense of humour and the twinkle in her eye. "I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, and to leave an afterglow of smiles with happy memories." Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Church, 712 Whetter Avenue, on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Cremation and interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.
