Obituary of Mary Kelly

KELLY C.W.L. CREST At Marian Villa in London on Monday, September 20, 2004, with her rosary beads in hand and family by her side, Mary Claude (Brown) of London and formerly of Kinkora, Ont., in her 103rd year. Mary was born in Kinkora on May 16, 1902. She was the daughter of James J. Brown and Mary Ellen (Kelly) Brown. She will be missed by and ever loved by her children and their spouses Jerome and Theresa of Mitchell, Tom and Margaret, Grace and Bob Smith, Jim and Jean and Dan and Madeline all of London, Mae and Pet Feeney of Tillsonburg and her son-in-law Tom Cote of Sarnia. With fantastic memories of this beautiful and caring lady are thirty-nine grandchildren, ninety-five great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Genevieve Weiss of Stratford, Josephine Mecke of Dundas, Mabel Bruder of Guelph and sister-in-law Ann Brown, Arthur and Doris Brown, all of Stratford, as well as many neices, nephews and their families. Waiting in heaven to greet Mary are her husband John, daughters Margaret Quinlan and Jean (Doyle) Cote, son-in-laws Mike Quinlan and Richard Doyle, daughter-in-law Audrey Kelly, grandchildren Krystine Michalczuk and Jimmy Quinlan, parents J.J. and Mae Brown, brothers Robert, Patrick, and Jim Brown, sister Margaret Moylan, in-laws Mary Brown, Percy Moylan, Mary Ann Kelly, Rose and Will Malloy, Ed and Katie Prendergast, nad Lizzy and Johnny Fletcher. For over 70 years. Mary was actively involved in Catholic Women's League activities at St. Patrick's Church, Kinkora and Holy Cross Parish in London. She delighted in her family, taking in important events, whenever possible. her love of life and closeness to Jesus are her legacy to those of us who will try to live by her example. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday evening from 7 - 9 o'clock and Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 o'clock. Then to rest at Holy Cross Church, 10 Elm Street, London on Thursday morning from 9 o'clock until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Kinkora, Ontario on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Prayers Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Donations to Mount Hope Fund, c\o St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation, St. Patrick's Parish, Kinkora Building Fund or Holy Cross Church, London Building Fund would be appreciated. There is no doubt Mary was " in heaven half an hour before the devil knew she was dead"
