Obituary of Rita Priscilla Johnston

Johnston Peacefully at Welland General Hospital on Wednesday August 11, 2004 at 2:45 am, Rita Priscilla (Henneberry) Johnston passed away at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Robert Grant Johnston (2003). Dear mother of Catherine Johnston of London, Jane Sztogryn and her husband Larry of Fenwick, Janice Merucci and her husband Marco of Windsor, Mary Lou Zietsoff and her husband Kevin of Toronto and predeceased by her son Grant. She will be missed by her sisters Doris Naugle and her husband Tommy, Aletha Henneberry and her husband Ben, Mary Henneberry, Anna Bradstock and her husband Brad and by her brother John Henneberry and his wife Doreen all of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence and by her sister Marian both of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. She will be remembered by her sisters in law June Mathers of London, Audrey Langley and her husband Jim of St. Thomas, and Marian Johnston of London. Survived by her grandchildren Paul and Jacqueline Merucci of Windsor and many nieces and nephews. Cherished cousin of Priscilla Masseo of London. Many thanks to the caring staff and volunteers at Welland General Hospital who made Rita's final days so pleasant. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Friday evening from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Church, 1980 Trafalgar Street, London, on Saturday morning August 14, 2004 at 10:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Donations to the Welland Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the Family.
