PLOMMER, Muriel Jean
Muriel Jean Plommer, 69, of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Muriel was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 25, 1944. In 1950, as a young girl, Muriel spent two years in Toronto with her Uncle Murray MacKinnon and Aunt Rita. She fell in love with Canada then and immigrated with her young family to London in 1966. Muriel was married to Alex on June 2nd, 1962 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage of 51 years. Muriel is survived by her beloved husband Alex, and her devoted children David and Tracie (Cambridge, ON), Gerry and Kim (Naples, Florida), Chris and Joe (Toronto, ON), Linda and Barry (Belleville, ON) and Paul and Brenda (London, ON). Grandma will be sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Anthony, Mackenzie, Samuel, Alison, Amy, Iain, Morgan, Callan, Jory, Chelsea, and Riley. Muriel is preceded in death by her parents Guillermo and Jean, and her siblings Ricky, Jake, and Yolanda. Muriel cherished her family and friends and travelled the globe to visit them throughout the in United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, and Australia. The family of Muriel Plommer wishes to thank the palliative care team at Victoria Hospital in London for their hard work and dedication to Muriel's comfort over the last few months. Special thanks also to Tommy and Christine Plommer for their love and support during this difficult time. Muriel lived a full life, her undefeatable spirit and her commitment to family and friends is an inspiration to us all. We miss her already and will carry her memory in our hearts always. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 377 Oakland Avenue on Wednesday afternoon August 7, 2013 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
