At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Thursday, September 28, 2006 Roger LaRouche in his 93rd year. Loving husband of Suzanne (Hillaireau) LaRouche. Loved father of Pascal and Shirley of Toronto, Jackie LaRouche-Merifield and Bob of Harcourt Park and Toronto and Anne-Marie Powell of London. Roger served proudly with the Canadian Armed Forces in the Intelligence Corps from 1942 to 1946 in Britain, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. His experiences helping to clean up a Jewish concentration camp tormented and haunted the rest of his life, never fully recovering from the trauma. He always referred to his time in the Army as one of the best and worst periods of his life. While stationed in Normandy after the invasion he met and married his wife of 61 years, Suzanne. They moved to Canada in 1946 and settled in London, Ontario where he made his living as a Meat Manager for Loblaws. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock where the funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to a charity of your choice in Roger's name.
