Eileen Mitchell passed peacefully, after a sudden illness at St. Joseph's Hospital Tuesday July 29, 2003. Born Mary Eileen Evelyn Lewis in Saint John, N.B. on January 5, 1920. Predeceased by her husband Clarence J. Mitchell. Eileen graduated Brescia College at U.W.O. in 1941; went to Normal School and taught high school throughout Ontario. In the latter part of her teaching career she supply taught in London for both the public and separate school boards. She was a teacher, coach, athlete, bridge player and world traveler. She leaves behind two children: Lewis Mitchell and his wife Jamie of Sarnia and Mary Mitchell and her husband Dean Roberts of Woodstock and five grandchildren: Aimee and Greg Mitchell, Evan, Graham and Stephen Roberts. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday evening from 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street, on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Psychiatric Research Foundation (CPRF) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
