Obituary of Jessie Anderson Allen

Allen On June 25, 2003 our angel on earth was called to heaven. Jessie (Morgan) is survived by her lifelong friend and beloved husband of 50 years, Donald. By her children Brian (Terry), London, Donna (Paul), Miller Lake, Ken (Chris), Hensall. Jessie was a loving Grandma to Jason, Lindsay Anne, Juliette, Kenney, and Babushka to Vladimir. Jessie is also survived by her devoted brother Harry and family, Shirley, Kim (Pete), Leslie (Craig, Shaye, Joey) and Denis. Jessie was also a treasured Mum to her "adopted" children Myra and Jeff. Predeceased by parents Denis and Agnes, twin sister Annie, and precious daughter Mary. Jessie retired at the original owner of Allen's Fish and Chips, Hensall. She was also past member of the Hensall Horticulture Society. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Ave., on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Our family sends their gratitude to all Jessie's caregivers at U.H., C.C.A.C., and a special note of thanks to St. Joseph's Palliative Care Unit for their unlimited T.L.C., also thanks to Dr. Schmidt. Jessie loved flowers, but loved children more.
