Obituary of Lionel Lavoie

Lavoie Insert Optimist Crest Surrounded by loving family at Ingersoll, Alexandra Hospital on Wednesday April 2, 2003, Lionel "Rio" Lavoie formerly of London in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Jean Lavoie (Thomson). Dear father of Lionel and his wife Sandy of London, Hannah Stephens and her husband Brad of London and Monica Walsh of Ingersoll. Loving grandfather of Nicole and Lionel Lavoie, Shaun and Kelly Stephens, Brandon and Tiffany Walsh and great grandfather of Trey and Edyn Lavoie. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Geralda, Bernetta, Lola, and Sylvia and many in laws, nieces and nephews. Rio was predeceased by his parents, Eliza and Gerard and his brother Bernard. Rio was very involved in his community through several minor sports associations and was an active member through various positions with the North London Optimists. Friends will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Ave., on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Reception to follow.
