Obituary of Augustine Eugene Walzak

WALZAK K of C Crest Surrounded by family and friends , Augustine ( Gus ), dear husband of the late Catherine Walzak, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, in his 76th year. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Anne, son David and son-in-law Dan Fossum. Dear grandfather of Jordan, Ella and William. Dear brother of Leonard Walzak and Jeanette Prendergast. Survived by his sister-in-laws Bernice Walzak, Kay Walzak, Mary White and Marg Jacyno and brother-in -law Joe Prendergast of Aylmer. Known as " Uncle Gus", to many nieces and nephews, he will be remembered in countless tales of friendship and camaraderie. Gus brought his warm heart, zest for life and dedication to his community work with the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Hospitality Centre. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Donations to St. Joseph's Hospitality Centre would be appreciated.
