BEECHIE, Joseph LLB Peacefully at LHSC University Hospital surrounded by his loving family onSunday, May 19, 2013, Joseph Beechie in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Louise (McHugh) for more than 59 years. Devoted father of Elizabeth Jane Holmes of Thorhild, Alberta, Kathleen Martha Beechie of London, J.J. Beechie of Peterborough, and Mary Clare Beechie of London. Chersihed grandfather to Christopher, Kathleen, and Mary Holmes and Alex Beechie. Dear brother of Alma Le Clair of London. Joe was actively involved with a variety of different community service organizations. He was awarded the Governor Generals Golden Jubilee Medal for his distinguished humanitarian service in the field of prison aftercare. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 511 Cheapside Street on Friday May 24, 2013 at 10 o'clock. Cremation with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. Donations to John Howard Society of London would be appreciated.
