Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family and friends Leslie Illes (Les) Fekete in his 69th year at L.H.S.C. University Hospital on Thursday May 2, 2002. He will be dearly missed by his wife and best friend Cherie, his children Anne Marie Kotnjek and her husband John, Les Jr., and his wife Cristine, Susan and her fiance Ralph Birkhoff, his grandchildren Adrian, and Anthony Fekete. Loved and missed by his mother-in-law Isabelle Edwards. Dear brother-in-law of Walt and Jean Edwards, Don and Nancy Edwards, Shirley Edwards, Alan and Lynn Edwards, Robin and Doreen Edwards, Scott and Teresa Edwards, Carmen and Dave Jones, Dena and Dennis Regier. Missed by his loving family in Hungary, Luca and Imre Refy, Judit Korosi, Erzsi Vorosmarty and Laci Zeold, Orsolya Korosi and Lorenzo,
Pal and Kriszti Korosi, Csuba and Timi. Predeceased by his parents Nandor and Anna Fekete in Budapest, Hungary, and his brother Nandor Fekete Jr., in Karlsruhe, Germany. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews and many good friends. Following his arrival to Canada in 1956 from Budapest, Hungary, Les made significant contributions to Catholic Education in the City of London through his leadership roles at Catholic Central High School and Regina Mundi College. The many lives he touched will remember this very special man. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Saturday evening from 7-9 and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road W., on Monday morning at 11:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Sunday evening at ____ o'clock. In lieu of flowers donations to the Multi Organ Transplant Clinic, London Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated.
