Obituary of Robert Gary Bird

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Gary Bird announce his passing on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at London Health Sciences Centre, South Street Campus. Bob was in his 60th year, born in London on January 17, 1942. Bob devoted his entire life to his family and his profession as a teacher, vice principal and principal being a great advocate for Catholic Education. Bob is predeceased by his father Robert V. Bird (1973) and his mother Dororthy G. Feeney Bird (1988). Bob is survived by his brother William (Bill) Bird and special friend Marilyn Everitt , his sister Susan O'Quinn her husband Leonard, and his nephew and Godson Patrick O'Quinn, his niece Krisa Goss her husband Gord and his great - nephews Jordan and Nathan Goss, his niece Kimberley Miller her husband Scott and his great -nephew Logan Miller, his niece Kelly Briere her husband Russ and his great-nieces Keaton and Rylea Briere. Bob will also be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Visitors will be recieved at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. Prayers Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street, London on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London beside his mother and father. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Victory Branch #317, at 311 Oakland Avenue, London. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Diabete association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted as living memorial to Bob.
