Obituary of Anne Duggan MacLean

MacLean On Wednesday, January 31, 2007, Anne Duggan MacLean, in her 80th year, at Victoria Hospital. Wife of the late William Reginald MacLean. Mother of Jennifer, of Toronto; Michael (Colette), of Ottawa; Melissa (Kerry), of Managua, Nicaragua. Sister of Clare MacLean (Ralph, deceased) of London, Elizabeth Evoy (Allan) of Penticton, B.C., and Dennis Duggan (Mary Gwen) of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her brother John Duggan and her sisters Mary Van Sickle (Leo, deceased) and Martha Walsh (John, deceased). Grandmother of Benjamin, Charlotte, Nathan, Kira, and James. Born in Petrolia, daughter of John Duggan and Katharine Gleeson. After graduating from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in London, Anne worked in many cities in North America. She also lived with her family in Prince Edward Island, Colombia and Peru. Her travels took her to such places as Argentina, Nepal, France, China, Thailand and Jordan. Beloved of her family, friends and acquaintances, she was passionate about life and people in all their diversity. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 262 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
