Peacefully in the home he cherished on Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in his 85th year Leo Clare Van Sickle. Beloved husband of the Mary Katherine Duggan Van Sickle (1988). Dear father of John Van Sickle (Shelia), Thunder Bay, Ann of Red Deer, Alberta, Peter Van Sickle (Coral), London, Monica Van Sickle-Hill (Gordon), Cambridge, Martha Tracey (Brian), London, Vincent Van Sickle (Christine), London, Rita Petz (Michael), St. Thomas, Bridget Van Sickle Wood (Raymond), Ottawa. Predeceased by his son Dennis (1976) and his daughter Mary Katherine Ray (1997). Survived by his brother Paul and his wife Colleen of Petrolia, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Ann Van Sickle and other family members, Jean, Howard, Bloss, Philip, and Thomas. Leo is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ann, Terry, Adam, Noah, Dennis, Tara, Jackie, Joel, Jonathan, Matthew, Ryan, Megan, Sarah, Jessica, Michaela, David, Andrew, Jocelyn. Also survived by great grandchildren Spencer, Mackenzie, and Mitchell. Leo served in the Dental Core of the Canadian Armed Forces and was an employee of John Labatt Ltd., for 34 years. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King St., London, on Sunday February 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Ave., on Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Prayers Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association of to "Jesse's Journey" would be appreciated by the family. Dad's generous heart, sense of humour and love for life , will live on in all of us.
