At Parkwood Hospital London on Monday, March 27, 2000 Frederick Arthur (Fred), dear husband of Mary Catherine (Kay) (French) Small, in his 77th year. Loving father of Frederick and his wife Mary, Douglas and his wife Brenda, Honey (Cathy) Sell and her husband Fred, Joan Turner and her husband Gary, Caroline Carbone, John and his wife Barbara, Mary Dool and her husband Don, Cecilia Walzak and her husband Tim, Bernadette Cassin and her husband Bart, Tom and Annie, Pat and his wife Nancy. Dear brother of Wallace Small and his wife Chris, Eileen Griffin, Mary Allan and her husband Ken and Helen Broad and brother in law of Frances and Lilly Small. Predeceased by his brothers Edward and Murray Small and his brothers in law John Griffin and Chuck Broad. Sadly missed by 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Fred was a veteran of W.W. II (Royal Rifles and Royal Canadian Navy), an employee for 27 years of the Separate School Board before retiring in 1987. and was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Fred will be greatly missed by all his friends and neighbours for whom he was always ready and willing to help. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London, on Wednesday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 712 Whetter Avenue, on Friday morning, March 31, 2000 at 10 o'clock, Father John Comiskey celebrant. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. A Navy memorial will be held in the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7 o'clock. Prayers Thursday evening in the funeral home at 7:30 o'clock with Father Stan Soltysik officiating. Donations to the Alzheimers Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
