At home surrounded by family on Thursday August 7, 2008 Winifred Teresa (Dunster) Moist in her 89th year. Dear wife of the late Earl John Moist. Dear mother of William J. and his wife Cheryl of Burlington, Wendy Ann Moist and Andrew Davidson of Brampton and Dr. Louise Moist and her husband Joe Mindorff of London. Dear grandmother of Michael, Holly, Stephanie, Maggie and Madison. Dear sister of Mary Knarr. Predeceased by siblings Ada O'Donnell, Frank, Louis, Patrick and Margaret Dunster. Winnie nurtured and loved her many nieces and nephews. Winifred will be remembered for her deep faith, lasting friendships, astute mind and her devotion to her family and to her loving husband of 50 years, Earl. Winnie started work as a bookkeeper and ended her professional life as a Director of Finance at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Marathon. Winnie was active in many social groups and sharing her flair for fashion and love of people. Thank you to many friends for thir support, cards, prayers and friendship. Special thanks to those lifelong friends in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Marathon, and close friends at the Chantry Place, bridge, swimming, sewing, retirees, newcomers, Church clubs and her many care givers especially, Dr. Kirk Hamilton. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 o'clock. A Funeral Mass in celebration of her life will be held at St. Michael's Church, 515 Cheapside Street on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11 o'clock.
Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 301 Ramsay Road, London, Ontario N6G 1N7 or to London Health Sciences Centre would be appeciated.
