Obituary of Fairhart Paul Saddy

Saddy, Fairhart Paul Peacefully with his wife Lois holding his hand on Monday , July 9, 2012 Fairhart Saddy in his 86th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lois (Hayden) (Straughan) Saddy. Loved father of Paul (Paul Coroliuc), Mary Jeanne (Dan) Edgar, Laurie (Stan) Sher, Merrilee McGilloway, Ted Straughan, Samantha (Peter) Abel, and Susan (Jamie) Duval. Loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Fred (Cae) Saddy and Mitch (Tess) Saddy. Predeceased by his first wife Alice (Carpentier) Saddy and his brothers Marceil and Louis Saddy. Uncle Fair was loved by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Fair and his brothers founded Saddy Gas and Oil, a series of gas stations, the first of which was at 374 Thames Street. Fair graduated from Teachers College in 1959 returning to the family business shortly after. On March 15, 1963 the Saddy brothers purchased Corey Auto Wreckers of which they remain a part of today. Fair was a member of Highland Golf and Country Club for many years and will be missed by his many golfing buddies. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Prayers Thursday evening at 8:30 pm. Donations to the ALS Society (Lou Gehrig's) would be appreciated.
