Obituary of Casmer Joseph Bandola

BANDOLA, Casmer Joseph - At Parkwood Hospital surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, April 12, 2012; Casmer Joseph Bandola in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Rosalie (nee Irvine) whom he met in St. Mary's 53 years ago. Loving father of Christopher Bandola of Vancouver, Lisa Drul and her husband Michael, and Tami Paling and her husband Ron, all of London. Cas was a devoted Papa to his five grandchildren: Cassie, Clare, Maria, Xander and Isabelle. They were truly the "lights of his life" and their Papa's love shall remain in their hearts forever. Dear brother-in-law of Marjorie Irvine of London, Mac and Jane Irvine and John and Marlene Irvine of Guelph. Cas was the youngest of seven children of the late Stanley and Mary Bandola. He was born in Poland and grew up there during the war years before emigrating to Canada in 1949 at age 11. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, corner of Richmond Street and Dufferin Avenue on Monday morning April 16, 2012 at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation-Palliative Care Unit.
