Obituary of Dougie Hollingsworth

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dougie Hollingsworth, a loving and passionate husband of Joeslyn Hollingsworth, exceptional father of Daniel, C.J., Julia (Doug), Sunni (Sean), Margaret, and Beverley. Patient grandfather of Melina, Madison, Makenzie, Monroe, Harper, Hayden, Charlie, Feather, Charlotte, Olivia, Clair, Jaxxon, Blakely, Soloman and Linnah. He passed away peacefully at home, with all his children, grandchildren and wife by his side on December 27, 2024, in his 66th year.

Born on October 7, 1959, son of Bette and Arba Hollingsworth of Straffordville, and brother to Leonard, Dougie spent most of his childhood developing his love for the wild side of life. Known for his passion to motorcycles, his remarkable talent in autobody and motorcycle painting, and his unwavering support for his brotherhood, Dougie leaves behind an unforgettable legacy. Dougie was a man of honor and great respect, and he lived unapologetically as himself. Those who knew him knew how accepting, understanding and supportive he was of other people’s differences and loved them for who they were. Though our time was short with him, the impact Dougie left on everyone that knew him will be cherished for eternity.
