Obituary of Zina Desando
With sadness in our hearts, surrounded by her family at Parkwood Hospital, Lucrezia Lucy ‘Zina’ Desando joined the heavens in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of Frank Desando, treasured mom to Mary Bourne (Al), Frank Desando, Fred Desando (Isabel) and Lori Martinez (Luis).
Loving nonna to Melissa Russell (Marc), Malori Boyce (Josh), Alex Desando (Kyle), Sydney Desando (Matt), Jake Desando, Abigail Martinez, Genevive Martinez (Joe), and Antonia Martinez.
Proud great nonna to Samantha and Max Russell.
Survived by her sister, Rosina Anania (late Lorenzo), predeceased by parents and sisters in her birthplace of Curinga, Italy, by her late sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maria and Frank Martellotti.
Loved and remembered by her many nieces and nephews in London, Niagara Falls, and Italy.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, August 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held St, Mary’s Church, 345 Lyle Street, on Saturday morning, August 31 at 10 o'clock. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum - St. Peter's Cemetery.
