Marjorie Alice Moroney

Born November 15,1925 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland to Michael J. and Maude (Gillis) Downey. Marjorie passed away peacefully Sunday July 28, 2024 in London Ontario.

Beloved wife of the late John Charles Moroney, she joins him in eternal peace along with her brothers and sisters: Joseph, Cyril, Sister Mary Liguori (Rose), Michael, Christina, Loretta, Gerald, Theresa, Brother Al (Alphonsus), Howard (Bern).

Loving mother of Marie Carr (Brian), Jim Moroney (Tina), Mike Moroney, Peter Moroney (Winnie), Laura Morgan. Cherished grandmother of Teraze, Cameron, Clarissa, Emily, Nicole, Sarah, Sheena, Warren, Daniel, Alethea. Adoring great grandmother to Jon, Brooklyn, Liam, Hailey, Jackson, Myles, Adelaide, Riley. Loving auntie to many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie started her lifelong career as a nursing graduate of Hamilton Memorial Hospital in Nova Scotia. She chose to live a life of joy and love, committed to many generations of her family, both immediate and extended. She treated her life and the lives of others as a gift sustained by her faith. Marjorie gave fully of herself to the comfort of others. Always an open door and a warm cup of tea. She had many interests and talents, particularly her culinary skills. She filled all with her love and light.

A private family service is arranged for Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Donohue Funeral Home, London, Ontario. Cremation and Interment to follow at Holy Family Mausoleum, St. Peter's Cemetery London.
