Obituary of Myrna Ethyle Emelia Doyle

Peacefully at University Hospital on Friday, November 24, 2023, Myrna Doyle (nee Nickerson) passed away at the age of 82.  Best friend and loving wife to the late Thomas Doyle.  Loving mother of Sandra Doyle of London, ON and Paul Doyle of Kamloops, BC.  Proud “Nana” of Nicholas Doyle and his partner Kay Weedmark.  Cherished sister of Donna Baker (Barry).  Predeceased by her parents Donald and Ida Nickerson.  Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and her beloved cat Garfield. Myrna was a dedicated nurse for 45+ years and happily retired from LHSC in 2006. She was an avid golfer and loved to travel, especially to Nova Scotia, for their beautiful beaches and waters.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of CCU – University Hospital for their compassion and care.

Visitors are welcome to John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis – St. Martin Church, 46 Cathcart Street, on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:00am.  Private interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated.
