Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a short illness at LHSC University Hospital, on Monday, October 30, 2023, Joseph Uniac, in his 78th year. Dear husband of 56 years of Vicki (nee Smith). Loving father of Annette Lalonde (late Wilf), Michelle Brown (Mike), Tammy Riley (Chris), Joanne Uniac-Hepburn (Chris) and honourary daughter Fiona Tandoh. Cherished Papa of Brandon, Dillon (Rebecca), Ashley (Travis), Madison (Daulton), Hailey, Brooklyn, Jason, Zach, Hunter, Emily, Alexis, honourary granddaughter Shawna and great grandpa of Nolan and Elena. Joe was a dear brother of Michael Uniac (Diane), late Lillian Hennessy (late Gerry), late Frank (Lynn), Mary Elena Kelly (Frank), late Gerry (late Candy), late Bill (late Judy), and late Paul Uniac. Uncle Joe will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and their families. The family would like to thank the staff at LHSC University Hospital in the Emergency Department, the 4th floor and especially the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care of Joe.
Cremation has taken place. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday, November 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock, and on Saturday morning, November 4 from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Reception to follow. Entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers (no lilies please), donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society London Middlesex or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
