Rose, James "Jim"

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of James Gordon Rose "Jim" "Rosey" on May 14, 2023 at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Elizabeth Rose and his three brothers Frank Rose, Alfred Rose, and Bob Rose. Survived by his daughters Dawn Rose and Cherie (Sean) Winter-Rose, and his grandsons Cameron and Daniel, and by many extended family on the Rose side.  We would like to thank our Mother, Trudy Rose for her love and support throughout the years.

Rosey loved to play and coach baseball in his younger days. He was a top notch salesman and whenever someone needed assistance Rosey was there to help. Rosey loved to make people smile whether it was a song, dance, or one of his many jokes. Rosey worked at the parking booth on Dufferin Ave. for years and truly loved every person he saw daily. Rosey faced many battles over the past and finally gets to rest in peace and comfort.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dearness Home for the care and support they have given during Rosey's time there. 

All are welcome to a graveside service that will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, 806 Victoria Street, on Wednesday, May 24 at 10 am.
