Peacefully surrounded by his family at LHSC University Hospital on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 Bryan Crandles at the age of 90. Loving husband of Sheila for 64 years. Proud dad of David Crandles (Maureen Keogh), Kelly Legge (Peter), Dan Crandles (Bonnie Morgan), and Gerry Crandles (Christina Raheja). Papa to Molly (Sarah), John (Emilie), Daniel, Bryn, Tom (Celina), Amy, and Ben (Lauren) and great papa of Eli. Dear brother of Moira McAuley (late Lawrence) and uncle and friend to many. A Native of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, Bryan emigrated to Canada with $20 in his pocket in 1956. He was an RAF veteran who worked at several companies including Amalgamated, GE, Howden's, and Ruddy Electric. He taught his kids that it does not matter what you do, just do it well. He enjoyed curling and golf. He loved to laugh and tell stories - some of them true. He lived most recently at Chartwell Riverside where he played cards and pool with his friends, kids and grandchildren. He loved the food and never said no to dessert. The family would like to thank the Westmount Dialysis Clinic who cared for Bryan for many years. Visitors will be received at St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road West, on Tuesday, November 22nd from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 am.
