Peacefully at home on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 John Janek at the age of 74 years.  Beloved husband of Marta Janek.  Proud father of Monica Janek and her husband Erin Nicholson.  Cherished grandfather of Isla.  John will be missed by family in Slovakia and Vancouver.  John was a hard worker, a wonderful cook, a great provider to his family, had a love of aviation and being a pilot, had a love of travel and a zest for life.  Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday morning, April 22 from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon.  Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery.  Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
